Police appeal for witnesses to robbery in Camberley

North West Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses following a robbery in the car park behind HM Supplies in London Road, Camberley in the early hours of Saturday 9 December.

An 18-year-old man was walking alone from the High Street towards London Road through the car park behind the Pro Golf Shop and HM Supplies, at around 2.10am.

Three men got out of a dark coloured car, believed to be parked in the car park, and walked towards the victim. They threatened the victim with a knife and whilst restraining the victim, one of the offenders stole a gold link chain from around his neck. A second offender took the man's wallet from his pocket and stole £40 in cash. The three offenders then jogged back to their car and drove off.

The offenders are described as black, aged in their twenties. The man carrying the knife was wearing a black New York baseball cap and a black top.

DS Franca Gasparini said: "Surrey Police will not tolerate violence and is doing everything possible to stamp out this type of crime and bring more offenders to justice. I would urge anyone who may have seen this incident or has information to contact us."
