Meet your local neighbourhood policing team

Local neighbourhood specialist officers and PCSOs will be out in force in Camberley town centre on 31 March from 10am until 3pm for a team day to meet local residents and shopkeepers.

Town centre officers PCs Lee Chamberlain, PC Lama Tamang and PCSOs Amanda Proctor and Andrew Riley will be handing out balloons, contact detail leaflets as well as other police goodies during the day. They will also be highlighting the work they do in the town centre, giving out crime prevention advice and answering any questions from members of the public.

PC Chamberlain said: “It’s important that local residents and shopkeepers know who we are so they can come and talk to us about any police issue or concern they may have. By working closely with the community we can target local concerns and ensure people feel safe in the town. We thought that a ‘meet the team day’ would be an ideal way of increasing our visibility in the town centre and we hope lots of people will stop and say hello to us.”

Reporters and/ or photographers are welcome to attend this event anytime from 10am – 3pm in the Main Square.
