30th May Unfortunately since my last bulletin a week ago there have been 8 burglaries across Surrey Heath. 1. The Avenue, Chobham (Monday PM) offenders smashed rear widow to gain entry. Have stolen flat screen TV and car keys just left on the kitchen surface. Fortunately they didn’t take the car. 2. MacDonald Road, Lightwater (Monday PM) offenders smashed glass in the rear door and then unlocked the door with the key left in the lock. Stole a number of personal effects. 3. Broomsquires Road, Bagshot (overnight Monday/Tuesday). Offenders entered rear door to the premises. (Not known if it was forced or left insecure). Stole handbag and mobile phone. 4. Bain Avenue, Camberley (Wednesday PM) distraction burglary whereby offenders stated that water could be leading into the property. One was allowed in and have then stolen cash and jewellery. 5. Trenton Close, Frimley (Wednesday day) offenders have smashed glass in rear door and unlocked the same with keys left on window ledge next to it, stealing various items. 6. Heathermead, Frimley (Wednesday PM) offenders forced open rear kitchen window to gain entry, stealing cash, jewellery and electrical items. 7. London Road, Camberley (Wednesday PM) another distraction burglary with offenders purporting to be from the Water Board. Some sort of unidentifiable ID was shown but offenders still allowed entry into the home with cash being stolen. 8. Orchard Close, West End (Thursday PM) offenders forced entry via front door stealing jewellery.
23rd May Two burglaries to report this week. 1. Queens Road, Bisley (Tuesday PM) offenders forced entry through front door but it appears that nothing was actually stolen. 2. Barnsley Close, Mytchett (Tuesday PM) entry gained via locked (although it would appear incorrectly) French door. Offenders disturbed and made off without stealing anything.
19th May Two linked burglaries to report this weekend. Sunday afternoon, 2 burglaries occurred in St Catherines Road, Frimley Green. At one a quantity of electrical items and jewellery, along with a BMW were taken. The offender in this vehicle then linked up with a Vauxhall Corsa, stolen earlier in the day from Guildford and attempted to commit the second burglary, making off after being disturbed. The corsa was later found abandoned in Camberley but the BMW was seen in Chobham and following a police pursuit, the vehicle was eventually caught, back in Guildford where the offender was arrested. He is currently still in custody. The identity of his accomplice is known and investigations are in hand to arrest him also. A very successful outcome as the offenders were also responsible for 3 burglaries in the Guildford area.
