NHW Crime Report 20th – 26th February On Monday 22nd February at 02:00hrs, two male offenders approached a 4 bedroom detached property in a cul de sac in Lightwater, tried the front door handle then went to the rear garden of the property and approached a ground floor kitchen window attempted to gain entry, has been disturbed by the victim knocking on an upstairs window and shouting, Offenders ran off towards the front house via the side gate. Description of offenders: 2 white males slim build wearing light couloured hooded tops with hood up dark trousers. Between 08:50hrs and 18:30hrs on Monday 22nd February, offender approached a four bedroom detached property near the town centre in Bagshot. Tried to gain entry through the front door by force, causing slight damage made an untidy search and have stolen two diamond rings and one wedding band. Between 10:00hrs and 23:00hrs on Monday 22nd February, offender approached an unoccupied property in a quiet residential area of St Paul’s. Have entered the rear garden and have used an implement to open the kitchen window causing damage, entered the property have opened the fridge and removed two can of coke and a yoghurt, made an untidy search off all the rooms, have stolen wii console, wii fit, wii games and a laptop. Between 04:15hrs and 04:30hrs on Friday 26th February, offender approached a private dwelling in Windlesham, have smashed a small glass pane and removed keys of the owners Bentley which was situated on the driveway. The vehicle was found abandoned in Shepperton Surrey. Between 18:30hrs Tuesday 23rd February and 07:00hrs Wednesday 24th February in Chobham. Offender has gained access to a locked shed of a footpath on a side road to the town centre using heavy metal cutting equipment and stole an acetylene gas cutter, then went to neighbouring property and used the cutter to gain access to a shipping container, removed a cement mixer and a ride on mower which was then left outside the container. There have been three thefts of number plates from vehicles this week, two occurred in Camberley and one in Bagshot. Between 18:00hrs Monday 22nd February and 11:45hrs 23rd February, offender approached a transit van parked in a car park in Camberley, gain access through the side door and stole numerous electrical tools and a portable playstation. Between 21:30hrs Tuesday 23rd February and 08:00hrs Wednesday 24th February, offender approached parked vehicle on a residential road in Lightwater, smashed the rear windscreen and stolen a laptop from the boot and discarded the parcel shelf by the vehicle. Between 23:00hrs Tuesday 23rd February and 08:00hrs Wednesday 24th February, offender approached a vehicle on the driveway of a residential property have smashed the passenger window and stolen a laptop from foot well. Between Saturday 13th February
and Sunday 21st February, offender gained access to the back garden of
a terraced property in Camberley. Have forced the lock from a wooden shed
and stole a specialised allez elite blue pedal cycle worth £900. Also there have been reports of Eastern European males using distraction methods to steal handbags whilst shopping. If you see anything suspicious or would like to report a crime please call 0845 125 2222 and in an emergency call 999

Drug gang jailed following undercover police operation FIVE men have been jailed for a total of 29 years after police uncovered their roles in a criminal network supplying cocaine and Ecstasy in the Camberley area. Mark Leeson, 23, Joseph Lee, 23, Tommy Lee, 33, from Sandhurst, Nicholas Murphy, 42 , from Yateley, and George Willicombe, 52, from Bagshot, were all sentenced at Kingston Crown Court on February 24. Their arrests were part of a 15 month intelligence-led operation by Surrey Police’s Serious Crime Investigation Team (SCIT) to identify those involved in the supply of large quantities of Class A drugs. Posing as customers, undercover officers were able to arrange a meeting with Leeson at which he agreed to supply cocaine and Ecstasy. Between September 2008 and January 2009 Leeson supplied over nine ounces of cocaine with a street value of £7,200 and a total of 120,986 Ecstasy tablets with a street value of almost quarter of a million pounds. Joseph Lee’s cousin Tommy Lee, Nicholas Murphy, and George Willicombe were all implicated during these transactions. By March 2009 police had gathered significant evidence and swooped on Leeson in a pre-planned operation at Bagshot railway station seizing 100,000 Ecstasy tablets. A search warrant was later executed at Leeson’s home address where safe containing cocaine, cannabis, and rolls of cash, was seized. Leeson was charged with Conspiracy to Supply Class A drugs - namely cocaine and MDMA (Ecstasy) and was sentenced to eight years in jail. Joseph Lee and Tommy Lee were both charged with Conspiracy to Supply Class A Drugs - namely MDMA (Ecstasy). Joseph Lee was sentenced to seven and a half years and Tommy Lee to 11 years. Murphy and Willicombe were both charged with being concerned in supplying a Controlled Drug of Class A - namely MDMA (Ecstasy) and were sentenced to 18 months and 12 months respectively. All of the men had pleaded guilty to the charges. Another man, David Sanders, 21, pleaded not guilty to being Concerned in Supplying a Controlled Drug of Class A and was acquitted at Kingston Crown Court on February 15.

Neighbourhood Watch 13th-19th February Between 0030hrs and 0630hrs on Thursday 11th February, offenders have entered a detached property on a residential road on the outskirts of Camberley town centre and, without causing damage, have removed a laptop computer from the hallway and a camera from the study. Between 1415hrs and 1505 hrs on Thursday 11th February, offenders have approached a detached bungalow in a quiet cul de sac in Camberley in a maroon Ford-type car and entered by using a small garden fork to force open the patio door. After making an untidy search, they have taken a Nintendo Wii, computer games, a mobile phone and some items of jewellery. They have left via the patio door. At some time between 1900hrs on Friday 12th February and 0930hrs on Saturday 13th February, offenders have accessed the garage of a detached house in a residential area on the outskirts of Camberley town centre by pulling the wooden frame out of the side door. They have taken two gents 'Specialized' mountain bikes. Between 2100hrs on Thursday 11th February and 1200hrs on Saturday 13th February, offenders have approached a detached property on a busy residential road in Frimley Green and accessed the rear garden via a side alleyway. There they have forced open the window of a summerhouse and taken a laptop computer and various CD's. There have been 11 thefts from motor vehicles reported this week in Surrey Heath. The first occurred in the car park of a Garden Nursery on a main road in Bagshot when offenders have made a small hole in the side door of a Toyota van then pushed the lock in the rear door thus disabling the central locking. They have taken money from a wallet in a jacket and a bag containing a digital camera. There has been another instance of number plates being taken in Bagshot this week. During daylight hours on Wednesday 17th February two vehicles parked one in front of the other were targetted. The screws were removed from the number plates to gain access to the plates. Between 0830hrs and 1500hrs on Thursday 11th February, a large number of power tools were taken from a Renault van parked outside a detached property on a residential road in Bagshot. Offenders have gained access to the vehicle by forcing the lock on the rear door. There have been five thefts from motor vehicles around Frimley. One vehicle had an amount of petrol syphoned from the petrol tank and another had the driver's door forced open and a Sat Nav system and a wallet taken. Offenders also smashed the front nearside window of a car parked outside a semi-detached house in Frimley Green and taken a cheque book and two laptop computer. On the evening of Wednesday 17th February, two vehicles were targetted in the car park of a local supermarket. In both instances, laptop computers were taken. On the evenings of Wednesday 17th February and Thursday 18th Febraury two thefts occurred from motor vehicles parked in a supermarket car park in Lightwater. A handbag and a bag containing credit cards and a passport were taken respectively. Also on the evening of 18th February a BMW 1 series parked in a public house car park in central Bagshot had a rear window smashed and two laptop computers in bags were taken. There was one theft of a motor vehicle reported this week. A Renault Megane was taken from a residential road in the Old Dean area of Camberley between 1630hrs and 1915 hours on Friday 12th February.
Neighbourhood Watch 6th-12th February 2010 Between 0800hrs and 1800hrs on Sunday 7th February, offenders have approached a detached property in Heatherside Camberley and entered the partially open double garage where they have removed a gents mountain bike. Between 2345hrs Tuesday 9th February and 0300hrs Wednesday 10th February offenders have entered a property in Camberley via a faulty patio door and have taken a handbag, mobile phone, mobile phone charger and keys. This week there have been 3 incidences of number plates being taken from vehicles, 2 in Bagshot and 1 in Camberley There have been 4 thefts from motor vehicles in Surrey Heath this week. One occurred in West End between 1830hrs and 2000hrs on Saturday 6th February when offenders have approached a white Ford Transit van parked outside a residential address and entered it without force removing a rucksack containing 2 mobile phones and a set of keys. They have then hit the windscreen causing it to crack and broken the door mirror leaving the front doors of the vehicle open. Two incidents of thefts from vehicles occurred on a hotel complex in Frimley between 0330hrs and 0345hrs on Wednesday 10th February. In both instances the rear windscreen was smashed and computers and audiovisual equipment have been removed. The fourth theft from a vehicle took place in Chobham between 1830 hrs and 1845 hrs on Wednesday 10th February where offenders smashed the passenger window of a Toyota Landcruiser and took a leather handbag containing a mobile phone. There has been one theft of a motor vehicle this week. Offenders have approached a semi-detached property in Bagshot some time on Wednesday morning (10th February) and have disconnected and discarded the original battery and reconnected an alternative battery to a white Fiat motorhome parked on the driveway. They have then entered the secured vehicle by unknown means and driven it away. This has been my first weekly crime report so I beg your indulgence.
