Classes are held every Thursday evening at the Briars Centre, Lightwater, and each course lasts 10 weeks.  Courses cover all levels of training with your pet dog, all designed to help you get maximum enjoyment from your training, and your dog.

Pre-Course Advice:   If you have never had a dog before, or you are having particular problems with your dog, we strongly recommend that you have at least one home visit before you join, so that we can give you more individual attention than is possible in a class situation.

Your Instructors

Stephanie McBride has had dogs all her life, and has competed in Obedience and Working Trials for over 20 years. She has worked Border Collies and German Shepherd Dogs at the highest level, and achieved the unique distinction of winning the Working Trials Kennel Club Championship two years running with her Border Collie, Working Trials Champion Rilliambrook Flynn, and coming second in her third Championship. Stephanie has been instructing both Pet and Competition handlers, with many breeds of dogs, for over 20 years, and is especially interested in helping handlers with 'problems' dogs.

Stephanie currently has 2 Border Collies and 2 German Shepherds, the youngest of which are being trained for Working Trials.

Judy Meekings has also had dogs all her life, and has been competing with English Springer Spaniels in Obedience and Working Trials for 20 years. She is the only handler in the country to qualify a Springer at the highest level in Working Trials. Judy has been instructing Pet and Competition handlers for 15 years, with experience of many different breeds of dogs, but has a particular interest in Gundogs.

Judy and Stephanie are both members of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, and are also Kennel Club qualified Working Trials Judges.
