Youth Café Success
The Youth Café was launched in 2005 and has been a tremendous success
with over 45 young people using it on a weekly basis. The feedback from
the young people has been very positive, especially around the central
location of the facility, and the fact that the café is exclusively
for that age group during the hours of 7.30-10.00pm on a Friday evening
- they are already planning theme evenings such as karaoke.
The Café is based at The Good Taste Coffee Shop in Camberley High
Street, every Friday from 7.30pm-10.00pm, with youth workers on hand in
the café during the evening.
However, due to half term and factors outside the Council’s control, the Café will be closed on Friday 17th February and Friday 3rd March 2006.
Safer Surrey Heath is the Surrey Heath Crime & Disorder Reduction Partnership which is a joint venture between Surrey Police, Surrey Heath Borough Council and Surrey County Council. It also incorporates Surrey Heath & Woking Area Primary Care Trust, Surrey Fire and Rescue Service and Surrey Police Authority. The Partnership has a shared responsibility to implement a strategy to reduce crime and disorder within the Borough of Surrey Heath.
