Bagshot Car Park Re-Surfacing Works Re-surfacing works to improve Bagshot public car park will begin on Sunday, February 18. The works at the High Street car park are expected to take up to three weeks to complete. It will be necessary to close the car park to the public between 9am-8pm on that Sunday to allow the existing surface to be completely removed. Once the surface has been removed, the car park will re-open with a reduced capacity on Monday, February 19. Some parking will be maintained on site during the period of the works to minimise the impact on the surrounding residential roads. Portfolio Holder for Economy and the Environment Cllr Patricia Pearce, who oversees car parks, said: "During the works to remove the surface on Sunday, February 18, it is expected that there will be some noise and dust which could affect neighbours in adjacent properties. These people have been informed of the works by the Council in writing, and in order to minimise noise disturbance, the contractor has been instructed that there should be no noisy work before 9am or after 4pm. Thereafter there should be minimal disturbance throughout the remainder of the works. We apologise for any inconvenience that these works may cause however they are necessary to facilitate the construction of the new surface within the car park." All vehicles should be removed from the car park by 9am on Sunday, February 18.
